2014 seems to be the year of Lizzie Borden (for me at least). I stopped (with my co-author Summer) at the Lizzie Borden Bed and Breakfast on Memorial Day Weekend. We did the tour of the house and we were both really taken with the building. The staff there was really great and it is one of my favorite places we have visited! On Memorial weekend we also stopped at OakGrove Cemetery to visit the family plot and it is a beautiful cemetery that I hope to be able to visit again, when I have more time to explore. When we were at the Borden House we talked with our tour guide, Danielle, and other members of staff and they told us about the reenactment they do on the anniversary of the murder. Standing Wall in Wilton

Was just driving through Wilton Maine yesterday and saw this old building that looks like a big chunk is missing. I am going to see what I can find out about this location and get more information and pictures.

Each morning on my way to work I drive past an old cemetery on this day I stopped and took a couple of quick shots.
Very odd design but the area has a nice feeling.
Memorial Day ~ May 25, 2013 epilogue
After stopping at Friends Cemetery we had several stops in the immediate area. Things just caught our eyes.

Normally the water does not flow over the top and we could see (and hear) the top most plank was creaking and bending. I hope to go back soon to see if the gate house and dam survived the storm.
We just made it to Worcester as night sets in but we had enough light to get shots of the Burnside Fountain AKA Turtle Boy. Just a statue I’d heard so much about. So we end our day on a quirky spot.
